About the Practitioners
Heather Harper Palmer, FCP

Heather, mother of two girls born at home, is a true birth
advocate. A doula with experience in over a 100 births is rare
indeed. Heather combines years of practical knowledge
backed by solid CAPPA and DONA training, and then brings
a level of caring and compassion that is an asset at any birth.
She has supported mothers in hospital, home, and
stand-alone birth center settings.  Her clients have included
those seeking medicated and unmedicated births; and those
with special concerns such as no support, adoption, and
VBACs.   Heather feels that the doula's most important goal
is to advocate for the wishes of the expectant parents.
Besides her role as a doula, Heather is a certified Fertility
Care practitioner.  Heather's knowledge and understanding
of the female reproductive system can be used to achieve a
natural and effective family planning while avoiding the
complications of many of the commercially available
contraceptive methods. She not only teaches you how to
interpret your own fertility but gives you the tools necessary to
improve its health.
